Choosing a career path can be an overwhelming task, and the ACT Center is an invaluable resource for any student needing career information and exploration. Advisors collaborate with students in their career decision-making process, and help them assess their career interests and values, select a program of study as it relates to their goals, and research specific careers.

  1. The Student Career Exploration Process

    1. Start off with our Career Assessment tool, FOCUS2 Career. This engaging resource helps you reflect on your unique strengths, interests, and aspirations, guiding you towards exciting career and academic paths that resonate with who you are.
    2. With results in hand, begin researching potential majors and careers using FOCUS2 Career and other career exploration resources, such as O*Net.
      • Pro tip – Aim to identify and research 3-5 career paths and occupations that are a good fit.
