Academic Resource Center
The Academic Resource Center, with locations on the Brockton and the Canton campuses, offers a range of in-person and virtual tutoring and academic support services. Individual and small-group tutoring is available in many subject areas such as mathematics, sciences, computer technology, study strategies, reading, writing, and language acquisition. In addition to tutoring, computers are available for writing, research, and course study.

The Brockton ARC is located on the lower level of the Student Center.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Writing Assignments: In addition to making appointments for remote writing tutoring, students can also email a paper draft or general question to writingcenter@massasoit.mass.edu and receive tutor feedback within 24 business hours. In their email, they should include their Massasoit student V#, Professor and course name, assignment information, what they would like help with, and a copy of their writing in a Microsoft Word or Google Docs format.
eTutoring
This free, online supplementary tutoring resource (part of a tutoring consortium of colleges) provides tutoring for several Massasoit subjects. This resource offers assistance in several modes including live chat, questions and responses via email, and an online writing lab. Students with a Canvas course should access eTutoring by logging in to Canvas, choosing one of your courses, and clicking the eTutoring link on the left side of the page. You will not need a password.
Students who do not have a Canvas course should click the Forgot password? link on the eTutoring login page to receive a password for eTutoring.
Once logged in, students can view a weekly schedule of tutoring by subject.

The ARC welcomes ongoing faculty referrals of peer tutors! If you have a current or former student who excels in a specific discipline (for which the ARC offers tutoring) and has strong communication and interpersonal skills, please feel welcome to make a referral by submitting your referral via the following link:
