Choosing a career path can be an overwhelming task, and the ACT Center is an invaluable resource for any student needing career information and exploration. Advisors collaborate with students in their career decision-making process, and help them assess their career interests and values, select a program of study as it relates to their goals, and research specific careers.

- Start off with our Career Assessment tool, FOCUS2 Career. This engaging resource helps you reflect on your unique strengths, interests, and aspirations, guiding you towards exciting career and academic paths that resonate with who you are.

Create a FOCUS2 Career Account
- With results in hand, begin researching potential majors and careers using FOCUS2 Career and other career exploration resources, such as O*Net.
- Pro tip – Aim to identify and research 3-5 career paths and occupations that are a good fit.
- Check out Massasoit’s Programs of Study to familiarize yourself with our diverse academic offerings.
- Connect with your assigned advisor to help you map out your goals as you navigate this exciting process.

FOCUS2 Career is an invaluable career and education planning tool for all students, not just graduating seniors. Using FOCUS2 Career, you’ll gain insights into your interests, skills, and values – all crucial factors in making informed career and education choices – and be guided toward identifying potential career and academic paths that align with your strengths and aspirations.
By completing Focus 2’s Career Planning and Personal Attribute surveys, you will be able to:
- Identify and reflect on your work and leisure interests;
- Recognize your primary skills and values;
- Consider your personality as it relates to careers and
- Explore and compare suggested majors and occupations.
To begin with FOCUS2 Career, please register for a new account with your Massasoit email address and the case-sensitive access code ‘Massasoit’.
As you go along, you’ll see that FOCUS2 Career intuitively engages and guides you through career and education decision-making as you explore occupations, identify corresponding majors offered at Massasoit, and make informed career decisions during any stage of your education and career planning journey. You can create a career and education plan and save it all in your online portfolio.
When finished, please schedule an appointment with a career advisor to discuss your results and how to use the information you’ve gathered.
