With the support of your military and veteran benefits, obtaining an education at Massasoit Community College is made easier for you!
Below is a list of hyperlinked, educational benefits for veterans, active military (including reserves and guard) and their family members. We encourage prospective and current students to leverage their education by having a thorough understanding of their educational entitlements. Note: Massasoit Veteran Center staff members do not determine benefit eligibility or entitlements. However, we can advise you on the application process if you call, email or schedule an appointment.
Educational Benefits
Veterans

- Post 9/11 GI Bill® (VA, Chapter 33) – Most utilized benefit for military/veterans

At 100% benefit entitlement, students are eligible for the following:
- Tuition and Fees: 100%
- Annual Book Stipend: $1000
- Monthly Housing Allowance: $3012.00 – BAH subject to change
* Students less than 100% entitlement will receive prorated amounts for: tuition and fees, book stipend and housing allowance.
* Military members may also be eligible for Post 9/11 and MGIB.
Veterans and Military Family Members
Tuition Assistance for Active Military Students
At Massasoit Community College we have a team committed to serving active military seeking to further education while on active duty. Active duty servicemembers should speak with our Educational Service Officer/Veteran Services Team to receive approval before enrolling at Massasoit Community College. Tuition Assistance is a source of financial aid accessible to eligible service members among other such benefits after completing the Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA).
Federal and State Financial Aid
The Massasoit Community College Financial Aid Office is also available to assist current and former service members with applying for and obtaining federal and state financial aid for which you may be eligible. Air Force Tuition Assistance
You can apply for Tuition Assistance online at the Air Force Virtual Education Center. You must create a user name and password before accessing the online TA request.
To apply for TA, follow these steps:
- Select Reason for Request
- Select the School Name
- Enter Term Dates
- Enter the Course Information
- Enter the Registration Fees
- Verify TA Information and Submit Request
After your request is approved, you will receive notification of approved TA form. The approved form will have both of the approved signatures.
Army Tuition Assistance
- Request Tuition Assistance
- After your request has been approved, you will receive notification from GoArmyEd.
- If the TA request is not approved, GoArmyEd will provide a reason as well as options.
Coast Guard Tuition Assistance
- The USCG Institute and U.S. Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center manage Tuition Assistance.
- The Coast Guard Institute approves the TA Application and issues the TA Authorization form.

- You must apply for and receive written authorization for TA through the appropriate education office prior to enrollment.

- Contact your Navy College advisor to receive educational counseling and to determine what courses will be requested for Tuition Assistance.
